Rainwater may indeed benefit plants over distilled. Rainwater is
naturally acidic due to the interaction of lightning with the air. (It
also tends to be un-naturally acidic due to industrial fallout) For
CP I would think this would be good. I do not know if the benefits of
rainwater over distilled would be seen with other plants.

Remember, these plants have evolved over millions of years with
rain water. There may be trace compounds or elements that they need
that are not present in distilled or tap water.
