Hi Gary,

I've been growing _Cephalotus follicularis_ from seed for years and I never
statify my seed. In fact I plant it as soon as it is harvested. I sow it
onto 3:1 peat:sand mix. Although it may take from 2 weeks to 2 months to
achieve germination (usually spread out) I achieve an 80% germination rate
using this method. I suspect that a soak in a weak solution of gibberellic
acid prior to soaking might bring germination on more evenly, but frankly I
like having my seedlings at different stages of growth.

I grow these plants in an unheated polythene covered house, athough once
mature they thrive outside. I have an advantage in that climatic conditions
here are similar to those around Albany WA.

Regards,
Rob
