And to elaborate a bit further, you can also use aluminum tracking and have
glass panes cut to fit the front dimensions of your terrarium. I attached
plastic handles with adhesive to the glass. Instant sliding doors! The
material sold in hardware stores called spline (used in between the glass in
storm windows and the metal frame, to prevent breaking the glass) is
attached with silicone along the edges of the glass so it can slide freely.
Slide the plastic sheeting under the aluminum tracks and run a bead of
silicone to keep it waterproof.
