Try growing them with your Sarras and VFTs from mid spring until the autumn
cold stops them growing. If your Sarras and VFTs do alright then D.
capensis should also. I assume that your Canadian winter would be far to
cold to leave D. capensis outside. If you have a reasonable number of
plants, experiment with half. I have always found D. capensis to be
frustratingly hardy. You should see the size of the plants that get weeded
out of my Sarras from time to time .... it's often difficult to get all the
roots so they keep coming up. This is not acceptable for show or display
plants.
