Hi everybody!\r
\r
I am Georg \r
and I`m reading the massages of the discussion group for some weeks.\r
My interest in CP`s is nearly 15 years old. Most of my CP`s are growing \r
in a garden in the north-west of Germany (In an area called \204Ruhrgebiet")\r
There I created several biotopes as bogs brooks and pools for froststanding\r
CP\264s , orchids and several other plants. \r
\r
Maybe here`s an intersting story about my Drosophyllum.\r
In late spring I placed my three years old Drosophyllum outside on my \r
sunny balcony. After a few days the leaves began to dry up. So I decided \r
to cut down the plant. The result were seven green tops and one woody \r
piece of the middle of the plant. The ends of the cuttings were steriliced \r
with fire. The piece whith the roots fade promtly. \r
The seven cuttings of the tops didn`t grow as good as I hoped. \r
(peat : sand =1 : 1)In autumn they did fade too. The cutting of the middle - \r
I didn`t realy take care of it - was placed between some other balconyplants\r
in normal soil. I do not know whether the soil was dry or wet, because the \r
first \r
time I looked for it was after maybe three weeks. I was astonished. The \r
leaves\r
of this plant were nearly 2cm long and looked very well. Even the first little\r
insects were caught. I decided to place the plant in sandy CP-soil.\r
At this time the cutting didn`t have any roots. Even now, after two month \r
this cutting is growing quite well. \r
