I'm from Singapore, and I've been to several Nepenthes sites both
here in S'pore and also in Peninsular Malaysia. Nope, the soil isn't peaty
at all. I find it dry on the surface, and slimy, sticky and yellowish-brown
down under. I took a small soil sample from each site and found that the
soil, when watered excessively, turns slimy and so when I add sharp sand to
the soil, I got the perfect potting mix.
Mr.Joseph Yeo and Dr, Tan - what are your comments ?
Happy CPing !
