Neps liquid level

Let's consider the diferent answers I collected to my question about the
Nepenthes abilities to control their liquid level. I personally avoid the
idea about the rain filling the pitchers, because the pitchers are
protected from it by their tops (except some species 'cabriolet').
I personally noticed that pitchers catching insects not increased
especially their digestive liquid production, but well the NECTAR ! So the
lips were after 'dinner' completely wet.
Perry Malouf told me that the movements of a crawling insect inside the
trap could produce this effect. But I'd like to know, then, how the plant
can feel these movements.
I've put a few drops of fertilizer in the pitcher and seen that the liquid
is turning to normal at now, but without nectar production. What about a
chemical stimulation ? Seems to me more realistic for these 'static'
plants.
A lot of questions again !

PS: I'got chance with the list, I've already received plants from it
(thanks Mike and Nigel !), so I ask if anyone can help me to find
Cephalotus in Belgium (maybe not in natural habitat (; ).
