Hi,

To add a few comments on my part:
1) international officers in the ICPS
Well, e-mail certainly makes this possible. The only thing is who is willing
to participate! We have found several times that not too many people want
to do anything. It is simpler to sit in a chair and read new CPNs. And
those who would like to participate are usually officers of local CP
societies. Here, in the Czech Republic we have troubles to get somebody
participated in running our society or write articles. And I know this
is not the problem of only us [hi, Loyd] !

2) a favorable subscription rate to Americans
I think you are right, Jay. If you subscribed in a foreign CP society,
the rates for you would be higher than for domestics. I do not see any
possibility to avoid this except raising costs for Americans and equaling
it to those for foreigners. Than all would be equal. But I am not convinced
it is a good idea...

3) US-related CP issues
I believe most CPN subscribers come from the US so they can contribute
more often than those from smaller countries (like ours :-) ). Of course,
it depends on people themselves but let assume for a while that only
1/xth of subscribers from each country can write contributions. Moreover,
I also like reading about my own country...

4) Jay and trips
Well, this is certainly a good idea to travel around the world 'joining'
people interested in CPs [sounds like Fernando has already tried that
on his own, hi Fernando!]. I think this is no problem to organize such
visits, at least in the countries wherea local CP society operates.
You will find there many people who could help you.

That is all.
Ivo
