The rumors concerning "American only" voting probably resulted from an
earlier vote to fill an immediate need for officers to satisfy US
legal requirements for non-profit status. If officers were not in
place, non-profit status would have been denied and back taxes, fees
would have been due, possibly bankrupting the society. At least that
is what I remember ;-).
There's a write-in spot on the ballot if someone else wants to run.
