Sorry this is late but I'm just back from the Dominican Repoublic (a
place where internetters don't correspond!!!).

The subject of foggers interests me as it could/should many, especially those
with Nepenthes or Pinguiculas.

I'm currently trying to source a new type. Meanwhile, the finest type
of fogging available effectively produces temporary clouds. These are
slightly heavier mist than I personally want but could do. However,
they are fine enough to produce what is called dry fog, i.e. it raises
humidity for plants but is dry to us when alking through it. The only
trouble is that the current hardware to achieve such a cloud will cost
about 500 pounds sterling and upwards and is delivered (i.e. the fog is
made) using high pressure gas cylinders (that will need occassional
recharging).

If that sort of price is acceptable, let me know and we can see about
availability or I can get hard copy info sent to you snail mail, but
note that the source for this is the UK so anyone outside Europe is
looking at a more complex purchase and supply (e.g. you would receive
empty cylinders as they would need to be shipped and international
shipping will require cylinder manifolds to be detached) and a
significant delivery cost for shipping cylinders. (Sorry Bruce Salmon,
I'm not entirely sure you are outside the uk but voyager.co.NZ looks
suspicious to me!)

I've already given a specification to a supplier for a system that will
cost significantly less, probably in the 40-80 pound (US $60-110) range.
This would be for a directional or limited coverage fog cloud with
droplets of the smallest achievable size (i.e. a true fog).

I'll post the conference if such a unit becomes available. if lots of
people are really interested they should say so (but don't clog up the
conference, just mail me, much as I hate the thought of incoming mail.)

Regards

Paul
