Two things. First, !THANK YOU! for diagnosing the problem with my VFT's. I
have been having problems with VFT trap formation ever since I introduced
VFT's into my growing setup. A year back or so I asked the list if they had
any idea what was going on, and I received suggestions telling me to check
the roots and to check very hard for spider mites and aphids. I repotted
and sprayed for bugs but I still had problems with trap formation. In your
response advising more sunlight, you described my some of my ailing VFT's
perfectly. Thanks to you I think I now know what my problem is!
Secondly, I want to assure you that I was not attacking you personally when
I questioned your advice that VFT's need several hours of natural sunlight
each day to survive. I was hoping that a few people would jump on this
thread as I think that I needed more information regarding light. I plan to
follow Tom Hayes advice and move my plants closer to my lights.
Thanks again,
