John, hey, I'm not writing the Dictionary, it's just a thought question! :-)

Maybe a thing to consider is how much time and importance is given to
plant aquisition and maintence vs. other activities and investigations
which maybe were catalyzed by the collection experience, but are unrelated
to building and supporting a collection?
