Honestly - I would not dare to "treat" my plants with this kind of
formulation.....;-)

One effect of the oil could be to clogg breathing tubes in case of
scale insects - there is a commercial product which does exactly the
same thing.

However I doubt that it is advisable to clogg the stigmata of your
plants just to get rid of "anything bad". How do you control fungal
infections with your treatment? What are the "black spots" you're
talking about? Blackish spots can be caused by a million reasons
including leafburn caused simply by too much sun.....

What are the bad things above the ground? Bad weather?

I hope this reply does not sound too ironic...however I really feel
bad thinking about hundreds of nice plants being killed by
listreaders who want to try your formulation on their favourite
plants.

There are numerous commercially available products which are safe to
your plants (and to the grower) if the guidelines are followed and
can be used if by accident one of your plants catches a fungal
infection or some aphids. However generally sick plants are often a
sign that something with your growing conditions is wrong.
