While cleaning out a file recently I came across a fax (prompted by a short
note in the American Orchid Society Bulletin) I sent to Dr. Gustavo Romero
at Harvard. It's subject was a species of Aracamunia that was reputed to be
carnivorous.

Although it may only be known from herbarium specimens, Romero concluded
that it had carnivorous tendencies.

Is anyone familiar with the genus or the adaptations it has made to
carnivorous life? By what method does it capture and digest its prey?

Carlo
