I'm sure that many of you know this, but poison ivy [and its western
counterpart, poison oak [Rhus radicans, R.diversiloba] ARE native to
north america. Being nasty, brutish, and weedy does not necessarily
mean exotic!
I believe the urticating Rhus must occur in eastern Asia as well, since
there has been some research in biological control of p.ivy and p.oak
using exotic insects..
