Subject: Getting rid of  condensation on terraria

Last weekend a bunch of us were looking at Davin George's tanks full
of helis and neps through the usual mist of condensation. Andrew
(Ithink) suggested using a water repellant, like you see advertised
for car windscreens, to stop the condensation obscuring the view.
Has anyone tried this? I guess these are silicone based materials
which wouldn't harm plants.
