Noticing new growth on my "Akai Ryu" VFT, I put it in a south facing
window to help it out of dormancy. The three plants I bought from A.B.G. are
now four plants. What particularly caught my attention though was the flower
scape. The flower scape and developing inflorescence (Pardon my spelling if
It is wrong) are both the same bright RED color as the new leaves. Has
anyone else on the listserve observed this? I am eagerly waiting to see what
the flowers look like. I definitely intend to self pollinate this plant. If
any seeds are harvested, I will give them to people on this listserve who
have more time and experience than I do in the field of growing V.F.T from
seed.
