Ahh, more on the saga of the new fluorescents. Tom, are those fixtures you are
talking about the old (now called heavy duty) fixtures that use 40W tubes?
-That would be a good deal. Most everything I find is either 30$ a pop, or the
new 34W energy saver crap that produces -what about half?- the light of the old
ballasts. As to the electronic ballasts, I have used one version that used end
mounted transformers rather than traditional ballasts. I quit using those
completely after two burned out and melted down. I am assuming that there is a
different electronic ballast out there that will solve all our problems?
