There are 3 photos of I.lutea and 1 of P.louisianica on my website
( http://www.flytrap.demon.co.uk/ ) and descriptions of both.
You'll find them linked from my growlist.
They are both great plants, and I'm particularly fond of the smell
of P.l. flowers in the greenhouse (sure beats S.flava :)
From your description of the Ibicella (yellow flower,) I can
confirm that it *is* Ibicella - although P.louisianica is variable
(mine are lilac, but several shades of purple and a white form also
exist, all streaked with orange on the palate to the best of my
knowledge,) no predominantly or wholly yellow form exists. Ibicella
is yellow, smaller and lightly speckled with darker orange.
I know Ibicella is hard to find in the US, but most of the seed
available in Europe seems to be true Ibicella - just one of those
things I guess (lucky us :)
Happy growing,
Peter
