I have heard about the sling style psychrometer. Several years ago I even
jerry-rigged one and used a set of tables to compute humidity. It worked
so-so, about as well as you might think. I was curious about the hygrometer
because it would be convenient (if reliable) for use in small areas. I am
assuming it is something other than the paper/foil type gauge that IMHO is
worthless.
