Hi Bill,
I wouldn't worry too much over the lack of local CP dealers.
There are several mail order outfits in the US that I can recommend
from talking with costumers, being a costumer myself, or being friends
with the owner.

ICPS Seek Bank -no plants, of course- and you must join first, BTW.
myself, now and then. (just north of central NJ) and not selling for now.
These are places I'm very happy to recommend. I'm sure there are
several other people selling quality plants at good prices, but
these are the ones I know the most about. :) Since you asked about
local suppliers, I haven't mentioned places outside the USA, and
I don't know too much about overseas dealers/traders, but Eric
Green (S. Africa) and Andreas Wistuba (Germany) are very reliable.
Once again, there are lots more good dealer/traders overseas (and in
Canada, Cherryhill's Seed bank comes to mind) so think of these as
good places to start with, not even close to the end of the list.
I don't sell plants over the e-mail much, but prefer to sell them
in person. Of course, when the closest CP'er is almost an hour
away... I don't sell many!
BTW; if I have the time; if you (meaning the whole list) are in my
"neighborhood," I'm usaully open to showing CP'ers my bogs and plants
as well how do somethings with the plants (dividing, ect). If you
are coming by the area, please feel free to e-mail if you're interested.
