Brian,
There certainly are pitcher plants (yes, carnivorous) in Alabama! Quite a
number of species (genus Sarracenia), in fact. *ALL* are in need of
protection, and some (most, if not all) are in dire straits. KUDOS to
your company for land donation to TNC and good land management practices
on pitcher plant/bog areas!
If it would be a good thing to do, I will personally write to your
company and thank them for their efforts! (Send me contact &
address info!)
