Plants produce their food by photosynthesis (using water and CO2 and =
producing
O2) and burn that food to provide energy for cellular processes (using =
oxygen
and producing CO2).=20

These two processes both occur with light present (since the plant must =
continue
to live and be active even though it is producing more food for itself).=20

Without light, cellular respiration is the process which occurs.
