Sporotrichosis is also known as "Rose fancier's disease"... it's
the same fungus, and it often occurs when gardeners are stabbed by a
deep thorn (rose or otherwise), introducing the fungus deep into the
skin. Though it is often linked to sphagnum moss, it is
found in any kind of soil, I believe.
