Subject: Simple solution for baking soda mystery

If you are wondering if baking soda will raise the acidity of the soil
(meaning you probably also wonder if the laws of nature do not apply
to CP), then do this simple test. Take some of your growing medium
without plants in it, either a sample of it or a fresh mixture. Add
baking soda. Test the PH. Its that easy, and you don't have to
damage your plants in the process. I have never heard of a base
making something acidic, but if it does, i sure would like to know how
and why that happens.
