God knows I'm the first to use safety precautions now, after having
been infected with sporotrichosis this summer. BUT... common sense
would lead me to believe that those dire warnings on the comfort mask
box refer to those who are SANDBLASTING with silica sand (something I
certainly wouldn't do without the proper respirator). I wear a
comfort mask (and gloves) whenever I work with silica sand, and
figure that it should be adequate in that I am just gently mixing a
bit of it into a potting mix. What do others think?
 I usually wet the material before I use it. This helps to control the dust, and
I still wear a protected mask.
