It isn't likely that the spiders are spider mites since they are so small
that they can only be seen as a tiny spot on a piece of white paper. In the
book Carnivorous Plants of the World by J and P Pietropaolo it says,
"Creatures such as spiders inhabit the mouth of the pitcher and some build
webs and catch prey in the mouth area".
