Loyd et al.
What are the key differences and characters distinguishing the different =
P. moranensis forms? Avaiting some seeds of P. moranensis from different =
locations, it would be interesting to know which forms resemble each =
other, which are most similar to the commercially available "Dutch" =
plants etc.
=20
Screening some past seed lists of BCPS and Lowrie etc revealed the =
following localities and forms:
La Vuelta/La Veilta?
Cantil del Tambor
El Chico
Guererro
Kirkbright
caudata
mexicana
morelia
rosei
superba
orchidioides
alba+++
Do anyone have knowledge on which ones are horticult. forms and which =
are "wild" forms (except the ones listed by Loyd)? The ones with mexican =
like names are kind of obvious, and if anyone have any further details =
on collection locality etc. I would appreciate a reply. Are there plants =
in cultivation from throughout the range of the species (Mex, Guatem, El =
Salv)?
Kind regards
Hans M Hanslin
(BTW, thanks for the responses on my P. 'Pico de Orizaba' questions)
