Subject: nepenthes stem browning

I too have found that nepenthes leaves last much better if dead pitchers are
removed. I do it purely for asthetic reasons and after two years the leaves
are still alive and healthy, and the stem nodes are green.
Maybe it something worth trying if you do't like brown stems.
