While I do note the smiley that Derek included, I still want to point
out that a transaction in foreign currency is transparent if you use
a credit card.
I obtained "Nepenthes of Borneo" and "Pitcher Plants of Borneo" from
the publisher in Kota Kinabalu, and all I had to do was fax over a
signed credit card order form (which they faxed to me). It was
only slightly more difficult that a domestic credit card order, in
that I had to receive a fax and then send a fax. Oh yeah, I also
had to initiate my intentions with an e-mail message.
But, if you don't have a credit card, it seems that Balogh Scientific
Books might be a good way to go. They'll probably take a check.....
