Subject: South American Drosera cultivation / Allen Lowrie's list /

Ooops, I just said Harold Weiner used to sell D.slackii as "D.sp.4" but
now that I think about it some more, I think I'm mistaken. I have 6
plants of seed I received as D.sp.4 as late as 1990 which are definitely
not slackii and think I must have gotten the #s mixed up. Either that or
Weiner's slackii was D.NOVA sp.4. I think I also heard of slackii going
by the name "D.debbertii" as well as D.sp.Highland Red (as in Slack's
last book). Sorry about any confusion.

ANYWAY, I saw Allen Lowrie's 1997 seedlist in the archives, could
someone please email me his current seedlist? I am looking for some
South American (particularly Brazilian) Drosera and seed or plants of
the petiolaris family (esp.falconeri). Anyone have any spares?

Finally, I would really like to see a thread on South American Drosera.
I'd like to know who's growing what, how they grow them and what
problems they are experiencing, if any. Also curious to know when and
how they were brought into cultivation as, to my knowledge, some of
these species (such as esmeraldae, arenicola and roraimae) werent in
cultivation a decade ago when i was most active.

Thanks in advance,
matt
