Hello CPers,
My experience with raising CP is limited to 5 plants over the last 3 years. As
an alternative to hunting small insects, I decided to try feeding my pitcher
plants an occasional worm chased out of the ground whenever it rains a lot
here in Wisconsin. I limit the feeding to no more than two medium-sized worms
per pitcher. To my surprise, I have had vigorous growth for the last two
seasons from my single nepenthes and purple pitcher plant by feeding them
worms. Has anyone else tried this? Will it harm them to be on such a "nutrient
rich" diet?
Just curious,
David Mead
