Subject: P. jaumavensis versus P. esseriana

Hi All,

What is the best taxonomic characteristic that distinguishes
Pinguicula esseriana from Pinguicula jaumavensis? I have
both in bloom currently and they appear awfully similar.

On another note, I have been using Seramis, an expanded
clay aggregate, as a substrate for my Mexican Pinguiculas.
So far it is working very well. Have others used these
inorganic substrates for long periods of time with
Pinguiculas?

Thank you.
