Dear James,
Maybe, most Nepenthes can be grown without any soil, but only if the
humidity is super-high. Given that I grow mine in 65-80% range, I use
a fair amount of peatmoss in the soil also and I think you'll find that
your's could use some peat for better water retention as well. 'Coccinea'
is lowland mix involving three species, two of which can enjoy very wet
conditions, so I recommend using peat in it's mix. One half of it's genes
are from N.mirablis and that species can be grown in 100% peatmoss, but
that would be overkill in your conditions. What size are the bark pieces?
I'm not sure what gauge "fine" refers to.
