Subject: Re: CP software package

Many thanks to the hundreds, well tens, oh all right then - to the few (but
greatly appreciated) people who responded to my note on a potential software
package for recording CP (or any other plant) collections. (The software
doesn't care or know if a plant is a CP, but the package could be CP biased by
inclusion of a CP database to "pick" names from. It helps maintain naming
standards.)

All correspondance (received or future) will receive an individual reply (some
sent already). Late responses to my original mail are still welcome.
Responses were all positive most giving suggestions that seem to show a very
similar need to the one that made me start writing the software. Most of the
needs are already part of the software; for example, automatic
(numeric)/manual (alphanumeric) assignment of unique numbering to each
specimen (Accession Numbers) is included. Interesting comments from people
wanting to sell plants as part of their hobby or business - hmmmmm!

No actual account of the WEB is included yet but the various comments on HTML
complient list output was well made and noted. As "print" is still being
finalised this seems worthy of review for inclusion as a "print to file"
option. I'll think about it.

Regards

Paul
