Subject: odd rubra

One of the delights from my adventure out west was bringing back a S.
rubra alabamensis from Cal. Carnivores. Another delight happened late
yesterday afternoon as I was admiring it in the South Carolina bog. (I
don't have an Alabama bog, yet.) The tube is pubescent, having tiny,
almost peach fuzz hair up and down the length of the tube. I ran to all
the other species, checking out the Florida bog, the rubra bog (where
there is no space for alabamensis), the seedling bog, and the mongrel
bog. No pubescent tubes.

It seems that I remember seeing pubescent seed offered on someone's list
of Sarr seed. So, here is my question. Do hairy tubed pitchers occur
in other Sarr species or is this unique to rubra or alabamensis in
particular.
