Humidity and wind is a problem above ground, and you'll find them black if
you keep the peat wet. When you are not playing with them, keep that
plastic dome on top or terrarium conditions around them. The way they
seam to grow for me is Canadian peat in a pot with enough moisture and
with plastic to keep the wind out but a hole in the top to let the bugs
in. Also with this peat you can put in something they call
(Pearllight sp.?) white styrafoam.
