Subject: Southeast Sarracenias (Road trip)

Hello All,

I'm going to be off the week before the 4th of July and was thinking about
a road trip from
here (Dallas) to Florida via I-10. I was wondering if, given the time of
year and lack
of recent rains, if there are going to be any Sarracenias worth seeing.
My leucs, flavas, and even alatas (this is a first) are putting up summer
phyllodia.
(Of course, they all starting blooming very early this year, sending the
buds up in January!)
Given the state of my plants, I'm concerned that there may not be much to see.
On the other hand, my purpureas, minors, psittacinas, and
leuc/purpurea/flava hybrids are huge
and putting up even larger pitchers.

Any input will be greatly appreciated......

Thanks,

Danny
