Hi list,
I haven't posted in a long while so I thought I would mention the peculiar
nature of N. amullaria. Mine has produced pitchers which emerge directly
from the ground around the base of the stem. There are no leaves
associated with these pitchers. I've read about ampullaria producing these
and air rosettes. Would anyone know if there are other nepenthes which
display this behavior and offer perhaps any thoughts on why they are
produced.
