Ice from inside a freezer isn't actually distilled. Rather it is
sublimed, and it probably contains considerably more organics than
bottled distilled water. Though admittedly its probably better
than a lot of tap water. And even tap water varies radically
from place to place. In 1982 when I still lived in Vancouver, Canada,
I used to grow VFTs with water straight from the tap and had
reasonable success. In San Jose, CA where I now live, it is questionable
as to whether the tap water is even fit for human consumption--nasty,
horrible water.
