Funny the question should come up. I recently had a couple of small
tropical fish expire on me and since I know there are fish-by-product
based fertilizers, I figured I'd throw them into a couple of hungry
Nepenthes traps. It took less than a week for them to disappear almost
entirely. I haven't seen a whole lot of new growth out of the plants, but
I'm assuming they enjoyed their meal since it disappeared so rapidly. If
I see positive results, I'll probably make regular visits to the fish
store to pick up feeder fish or maybe even make like some kind of weirdo
and see about taking home any dead ones for my plants.
