Just a warning about using pepper products to deter cats and/or
squirrels: the stuff is NASTY if it gets on the animal, and I've read
reports of squirrels gouging their eyes out to try to get rid of it.
If you've ever had hot pepper juice on your skin or in your eyes,
you'll know how awful it is. So I would recommend the cage idea as
far safer for everyone. (Maybe you could pick up an old fashioned
bird cage: could look kind of cool with VFTs growing in it!).
