Hello all,
Please remember what Sara Gardner mentioned, which is that the Bureau of
Land Management is trying to figure out if people care about the
Darlingtonia in their "Eight Dollar Mountain Wayside". They are
considering leaving the site alone (which is probably a bad idea because
people are visiting the site and damaging it, and trekking in weed seeds
on their shoes), building a trail/boardwalk through the site (which is
probably the best route to minimize damage in the long run) or even a
handicap-accessible boardwalk (which would do more damage/cost more), and
may be unnecessary because of other similar sites within 80 miles.
If you are interested in protecting this site, please write a short note,
any note, to

Comments are due by 11 September (FRIDAY), but even a late note is better
than none.
Thanks
Barry
