Dear all,
yesterday I received the latest newsletter from Naoki
Tanabe's Japanese Carnivorous Plant Society - (this is *not*
the Insectivorous Plant Society of Japan). The newsletter is
in English and is thus a gallant attempt by a number of
Japanese CPers to communicate in English.
This latest issue No13 is a Drosera special and includes two
fascinating photographs. On the front cover is an
extraordinary plant Drosera sp zambiensis which for want of
a better description looks like a climbing version of
D.anglica. If I understand the text correctly the plant
originates from Africa and the name D.elongata is mentioned.
On the back page is a stunning photo of D.arcturi plants on
Cradle Mountain Tasmania. There is also an article by Colin
Clayton on this species.
Other interesting articles include the cultivation of the
petiolaris group by Yasuhiro Morimoto, And Robert Gibsons
Cape Town adventures involving South African CPs.
