VHS is only the medium; PAL, NTSC 3.58, NTSC 4.65 and SECAM are the video
formats which can be recorded on a VHS tape. Just because the tape is VHS
doesn't mean it will play, it just means it will fit into the
recorder/player. You need to look at the video format on the tape. BTW, most
VHS/TVs sold in Asia are universal format. I guess the same isn't true in
Europe? It certainly isn't tru in USA.

Hello everyone,

This message is concerning a little "movie" problem. Not so long ago someone
on the list published the adress where you could buy the video-movie :
"Death trap". <SNIP!>
The only way I can see something is on the tape is when I push the button
"fast
forward". Then I can see some pictures in black and white. I this normal?
Can someone help me out here? Are there other differences between
American-European VHS? All my other video-films run perfectly so I'm sure
there's nothing with my video-player.
