Your above described problem is most likely caused by low humidity,
especially when combined with high temperatures.
Misting the plants will not help when conditions are this dry. You must
increase the humidity of the air around the plants, especially during the
hottest part of the day (or, lower the temperature during the day, thus
increasing relative humidity).
