Hi folks. First of all, thanks to those who responded to my recent post
requesting gemmae. I've been wrapped up in work but will contact you
all as soon as I can figure out how much of what I have to trade. (Feel
free to email me again to get me moving a little faster!)
Anyway, with all this talk of Home Depot CP, I thought I'd mention that
I bought a Nepenthes at Grand Union (unlabelled, of course) as well as a
Drosera which is most likely an all green D.adelae. Both were labelled
properly (Sundew and Pitcher Plant) and claim to have been propagated by
tissue culture. No doubt about it, the adelae was definitely from TC as
I've never seen a clump like that come from any other type of
propagation. Having been out of the CP world for a few years, this
all-green adelae was a surprise to me - is it a recent appearance on the
market? What about the all-green capensis? I was shocked to see 1 of
those in the NY Botanical Gardens collection (much of which I donated
years ago) as they havent really been known to acquire many new CP in
the past...
Happy Growing...
Matt
