Thanks for all the "Aldrovanda vesiculosa" answers - I should have
been clever enough to do a metasearch for the Japanese name but
sometimes your blind...

I merely wanted to add the National Geographic publication search
engine for anyone who might be interested:

Use the second (publication index) search field. Unfortunately
it only gives a reference entry - no abstract or full articles.

Try "carnivorous AND plant" for 8 hits.
