Subject: D. anglica- stabilised hybrid?

Hello all-

I recently noticed in D'Amoto's book a short passage saying "there is
evidence that D. anglica is in fact a fertile hybrid between D.
rotundifolia and D. linearis." What is this "evidence"? How does it
account for D. anglica's distribution (so far from D. linearis)?
