Ants are known to farm aphids and scale too, but the ants only protect
the aphids from natural predators such as lady bugs. I dont think the
ants farming the aphids would in any way prevent chemical aphids killers
from working, although an aphid controller could also kill the ants.Some
one will just have to experiment with this, not me though, I like feeding
my plants!
